Partnering with Schools

Our focus is contracting with local area schools. Little City provides districts with dependable, licensed speech-language pathologists who become a genuine part of your school community — not a rotating cast of faces.

Direct Therapy & Caseload Coverage

On-site, high-quality speech and language services delivered directly to students — full caseloads or targeted coverage, PreK through high school.

Evaluations & IEP Support

Comprehensive speech-language evaluations, eligibility determinations, clear reports, and active participation in IEP meetings.

Flexible Contracting

Full-time, part-time, and school-year arrangements shaped around your district’s needs — including summer services.

Classroom Collaboration

We work alongside teachers and special education teams so communication goals carry into everyday learning.

Free Needs Consultation

Every partnership starts with a free consultation — we help you assess caseload needs, coverage hours, and goals so your district can plan and budget with confidence.

Quarterly Progress Reporting

Clear progress reports four times a year, aligned to each student’s IEP goals — so your team and families always know exactly where things stand.

One Contract Covers Everything

We set up a contract between your school and Little City Speech that covers all payments for services — parents never pay anything. There are no bills to families, no insurance claims, and no surprises for your community.

MaineCare Billing, Handled for You

For contracted schools, we can bill MaineCare (Maine's Medicaid program) on your behalf, so your district recovers reimbursement without adding administrative work:

  1. 1Your school pays Little City Speech under the contract
  2. 2We submit the billing information to MaineCare for services provided
  3. 3MaineCare reimburses your school directly

Why districts choose Little City

  • A small, local team of three licensed SLPs — consistent faces your students and staff will know
  • Master’s-level clinicians holding ASHA’s CCC-SLP certification, with Maine DOE credentials
  • Experience across PreK, elementary, middle, and high school caseloads
  • Structured literacy and Lindamood-Bell® training that strengthens reading outcomes, not just speech goals
  • Office support for scheduling, paperwork, and meetings — so therapy time stays therapy time

Let's talk about next school year

Whether you need full caseload coverage, evaluation support, or a few days a week, we'll build a contract that fits. We're currently scheduling partnerships for the upcoming school year and summer sessions.

What Schools Say

Little City has been a true partner, not a vendor. Their SLP is a familiar face in our building — the students light up when she walks in, and our IEP meetings have never run smoother.

Karen T.

Special Education Director, Area School District

After years of juggling rotating providers, having the same therapist all year has been a game changer. The quarterly progress reports keep our whole team on the same page.

Michael R.

Principal, Area Elementary School

The communication is outstanding. Therapy goals connect to what we do in the classroom, and I always know what to reinforce during the week.

Grade 2 Teacher, Area Elementary School
